Doctor Nirvadha SinghDr Nirvadha Singh is a dynamic personality who believes in transforming your dreams into reality. Her unique academic and artistic side envelops her career being a medical doctor, public health specialist, health editor, public speaker and now an author to add to her accolades.

 

The international public figure has also been conferred the title of Ambassador of World Peace (Shantidoot) in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. She was awarded the title for introducing peace education into health care and community activities.

 

As a humanitarian, Dr Singh has been involved in several campaigns to raise awareness against drug abuse, HIV, tuberculosis, teenage pregnancy, woman and child abuse, violence, cancer, disasters, refugee aide; and has incorporated her unique strategic motivational techniques to enable self-healing within these individuals and communities.

 

Dr Singh has been interviewed extensively by national and international newspapers; radio stations and TV Channels with regards to her numerous diversified activities and has undertaken healthcare and motivational talk shows within these platforms. As the publisher of a global online health magazine, The Health Chronicle, Dr Singh is known within the media industry as both health editor and columnist whereby she educates and empowers the community on socio-health issues.

 

Dr Singh has held an esteemed portfolio of positions including, a medico-legal advisor, and an executive member of a medical (South African Medical Association), music (KwaZulu-Natal United Music Industry Association) and cancer (Cancer Association of South Africa) association wherein she has played a strategic part in the organisation’s development.  As an international public speaker, she has presented seminars and papers to many known national and international organisations.

When we experience negative scenarios, our thoughts become negative, and this has a negative impact on our lives. The opposite holds true that when we experience positive incidences; we become motivated and feel happier. An example is if you have experienced a breakup in a relationship, you begin to feel as if you are not worthy. Your thoughts become dark and gloomy as you begin to doubt your own personality and thus become depressed. This depression results in a lack of sleep, loss of interest in your favourite hobbies, and has an adverse impact on your physical well-being. Such is the power of negativity, which can weigh you down like dead wood.

 

On the flip side of the coin, if you experience a positive incident, such as receiving a compliment from your boss or loved one, you automatically feel elevated as the happy hormones and endorphins kick in. You begin to feel as if you can conquer the world, and usually everything runs smoothly that day. However, the big question is how often do you remember the positive incidence as compared to the negative one? We are all guilty in being caught up in a cycle of remembering a negative incident much more often as compared to a positive one. This is the first golden rule of being your own best friend. Love yourself enough to think happy thoughts, because if you always wish happiness unto others, why not wish the very same happiness unto yourself?
